We are excited to announce an open call for applications from breastfeeding supporters and support organizations in Michigan for “Addressing Barriers to WIC Referrals: Perspectives From Local, Community-Based Organizations.”
In an effort to promote access and participation in the Michigan WIC program, Michigan WIC and Local WIC Agencies will learn alongside local, community-based organizations strategies to Improve the customer experience of participants obtaining WIC program benefits and services.
Five organizations/breastfeeding supporters will be selected to provide Michigan WIC and local WIC agencies with a report, webinar, and panel discussion with recommendations to improve outreach and participation among families in their communities.
In exchange for sharing their expertise, organizations will receive $10,000 and a co-created, ready-to-distribute 1-pager on their services for future outreach.
